$16,999. Yes, you're seeing that right. I almost crapped myself when I seen the price. It cost as much as  new car!

Still, it doesn't get much better than a liquid cooled Quad SLI EVGA GTX 580 setup. How long do you think a gaming rig like this could last for without it being surpased by a $1000 setup in the future? I'd guess maybe 3 years, with 4 being the most.

I'm not sure how entirely necessary dual xeons are for a gaming rig would be.

And I'm not gonna guess... computer stuff is too difficult to predict. 

I'm not sure any game would use even one of the X5680 Xeons, given that it's a 6-core CPU.

Each one costs $4616 by itself... You can put up to 8 of those on a server, which would be 80 cores. But you may have to sell your house to build that server...
