Xxain said: I agree with in general though, I was xxcited for SS and still am but not as much before the actual reveal because it seemed like they were doind something new, but it turned out just to be Zelda with alitte Harry potter in it. A more " Other M " approach( what I mean is is rather u loved or hated Other M doesn't matter its the fact they atempted something new with Metroid and it worked) to Zelda would be great. My personal choice for Zelda would be to leave the Master Sword out for 1 game and let Link be aquire multiple weapons throughout the game... I want feeling of Link actually getting stronger in game just not for story purpose's.. like the before Oot installments. |
They are doing new things though (and not just the school part). Blended overworld and dungeons with more puzzles and supposedly even larger dungeons than before, as well as backtracking to past dungeons to find new areas later on (like Metroid), WM+ controls for puzzles and combat, upgrading items, loot, adding more difficulty with the stamina/shield meters, the addition of the Siren World.
Miyamoto also said this is the longest Zelda with the most stuff to do.

To be fair alot of that isnt new, its actually all happened before:
- looting has alwyas been in zelda loot.. not that much but there has been lot( by looting im assuming u mean enemies drop thingss after you kill them)
- upgrading items - Majoras Mask let you upgrade your sword and so did link to the past
- all zeldas have bigger dungeons than the past zelda only natural
see what did was take past elements from zelda games a "maximize them"( make better use of them here)... now they may be waaaay better ultilized here but actual new feature. Im sure it will all be fantastic though.
