Despite price cut, is 3rd party support for 3DS doomed?

If Vita gets better support then 3DS is dead.  And I know that 3ds will never, ever, ever, EVER get better 3rd party support.

But the 3DS has Nintendo games and that's really the only thing it needs. 

It doesn't matter.  Nintendo has said they wanted to get better third party support, and prove that they can also sell on 3DS.  I'm worried that it is already too late and that they will already fail in getting the support they deserve.

On the other hand, it IS possible for the 3DS to initially feel threatened but then ultimately come through, compelling more 3rd parties to stay on after all.
