Whatever the method of interaction between the different versions are, I for one am happy that such a market it is being attempted as it can only lead to innovative experiences if it is sustained. I mean, its going to require a lot of work for an amazing RPG to come out that you can take on the fly for portable-specific tasks that truly enhance the experience. This mouth-watering and unprecedented experience will surely only come about after some more basic attempts at cross-play or whatever they are calling it. Wouldn't it be awesome if for $10 extra you get a PS3+PSV version of some AAA game with features as above? The possibility of a PS3 game that must be played with PSV as the controller could also ensure ports of all Wii U 3rd party games with all the same features. There is also the possibility of supplementing the processing power of the PS3 through the PSV. I may be a little optimistic, but all these things are possible, and I'll be happy to support all these developments if the quality of the software is high. Considering Sony's recent output I would say that's a given. |
Yea fair enough, I removed it from the post. Didn't mean to say it was "fail". I personally think its a great innovation and I will be supporting it if its only another $10 or so.

Yeah didn't think you meant to emphasize that part of it. Of course it will be disappointing if the feature isn't implemented well, so I get that you wanted to point out a possible pitfall for software like this, especially seeing how gamers have been screwed over with online passes, drm and of course by Capcom.
