By bundling the 2 versions of the game together, it raises customers awareness about the product and its features, and gives incentive to buy the system you don't have, if you don't already own both.
It can also act to push PSN+ subscriptions, since to be allowed to use your saves from one version to the other, you've got to have access to cloud saving, which only comes with PSN+.
Sony's marketing is getting better. I wonder how it will turn out in the end.
