Sure a lot of games use dual analog these days but does it really affect gameplay drastically. I play MH3 with Wiimote/nunchuck (only 1 analog) and I do just fine. I also play FPS on Wii (Goldeneye, BO, WaW) with Wiimote/nunchuck and I do just fine (actually better than almost anyone that uses CCP, especially in HCHQ which I am in the top 100 on BO). I play TBS (turn based strategy) games and I see no use for even 1 analog stick (FE on Wii just uses just the Wiimote). Basically for all the genres and games you can think of, I can counter with games that play just fine with either 1 or 0 analog sticks.

Maybe play fine but not better. and were talking about the DS here not the Wii, DS does not have a wii remote it has a stylus which arent the same.
