Seriously though it would be a marketing nightmare for them, but 3D its an expense the casual crowd that made the DS a success couldnt give a shit about. They need cheap hardware that there not selling at a loss with better batterylife they could do that by ditching 3D, no game requires 3D to play and they never will. Ill say again tho they shouldnt do anything drastic till they actually have software out. 

Like Sony with the success of the PS2 they were greedy, they thought they could release overpriced hardware with no software and people would buy it just because they had market dominence in the last Gen. I only hope they can do a good a job as Sony has in turning the PS3 around.
