That is exactly what makes it so great. The writing style changes for each of the stories. Its quite a remarkable feat imo.

As for stories, just continue with the other Hyperion books.

Just finished it. It felt like he'd had these great ideas and written them as short stories over a period of time, hence why the writing style changes for each character. I could be wrong but that's how it read. Worked well, but it was a bit bizzare going from first person in one character's story to third in anothers. I've got the rest of the Hyperion books so I'll read through.
