This posts sums it up: "it's the same word, noir is masculine and noire is feminine, so you would use each depending on the 'gender' of the word before it. for example it's Cirque Noir and not Cirque Noire because cirque is masculine, so noir must be used. so i'm assuming L.A. is considered 'feminine'" The title is based on film noir I would assume, which is spelled without the e. But it's their title in the end so noire it is. |
