The rules are the exact same as my old thread except comparing Third Party games

Rules:

Winner goes to the next round the loser is disqualified

There will be 24 games that are third party only.

Games will be only of this gen

The top 12 will be listed

Try to explain why you chose the game

The games listed will all have a metascore of at least 84

Round 1:

Red Dead Dedemtion vs LA Noir

Final Fantasy 13 vs Mass Effect 2

Grand Theft Auto 4 vs Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2

Call of Duty Black Ops vs Battlefield Bad Company 2

Assassin's Creed 2 vs Prince of Persia

Call of Duty Modern Warfare vs Call of Duty World at War

Bioshock vs The Orange Box

Mortal Kombat vs Street Fighter 4

Madden NFL 11 vs NCAA football 11

Nba 2K11 vs Fifa 11

Rock Band vs Guitar Hero 2

Batman AA vs Assassin's Creed Brotherhood

Round 2:

Well this is easy. Since I have only played Red Dead Redemption, I vote for LA Noire.

Both had their flaws and I took a break from both before finishing them.
In the end I had more fun finishing RDR then LA Noir.
Music, story and atmosphere were better in RDR, a shame the gameplay didn't quite match up.

Dead Space vs Resident Evil would be a good matchup.

Why do you guys keep on calling it 'L.A. Noir'? IT'S 'L.A. NOIRE'! WITH A 'E'!!!!

Both games are very plot-driven and Red Dead Redemption wins that without any problems.

I prefer LA Noire mostly because I like the style of the 40's/50's more and also the crime scene aspect.

I completely agree!

The only game that can defeat MGS4 on this site is either God of War 3 and maybe Uncharted 2. And this is only third party games for both platforms
