When did I say they were not new buses?

Point is, previously Clinton and and Bush rented from the same manufacturer (which removes the entire Canada arguement) and the Secret Service completely retrofitted the busses with higher security stuff and other items. Then when the president was done, they removed the stuff and returned the buses.

This time Obama simply bought them so they don't need to remove all the stuff later. Overall cost probably was close to the same.

You said it was the same type of bus too... which it's not even close.

He said "type/company" which could mean he meant either (not necessarily both) or even intended "type" to mean roughly the same as "manufacturer". 

In any case Kasz I really think you are defending a bad position just because you put yourself in it before you found out the facts.  And please, tell us what the two types are, because as it stands now I'm not convinced it doesn't simply look different because of whatever the secret Service has done to it.  I'm sure they went to town when they got one for keeps instead of just election season. 

And even if they are the most different buses Prevost makes, Prevost still makes them both, which still exposes this entire brouhaha as completely ridiculous; it's been manufactured by a pathetic excuse for a news agency, desperate for hits.
