This looks terribly slow paced. It may just be the video but it looked like the enemies come in much smaller groups in large open areas which isn't terribly exciting from a gameplay perspective. It also seems that the enemies don't do much to attack you either. Air combos don't look like they require much skill either. On the surface it looks okay but so far everything they have shown shows a very large misunderstanding of what made Devil May Cray interesting.

I felt this way about DMC2 and 4, maybe 3. DMC3 was good, DMC2 and 4 i didnt think were. personally i think thats because the developers who worked on the orginal DMC game never worked on any of the sequels. intead they just released Bayonetta, which trumped DMC4 on every single level.

so i dont mind what Capcom are doing, since imo DMC was never that good since Hideki Kamiaya and Shinji Mikami left and took the original team with them. i'm not a huge Capcom fan, but i do trust Ninja Theory. and i think from a gameplay perspective it looks very similar to DMC3 and 4.

i was hoping for more gun/melee/dodging interplay, like DMC1 and Bayonetta, but not much of that for the moment... hopefully that changes.
