yeah thats what gaming consoles have been marketed till now

 

gaming consoles will need to act like tablets in the long run like sony mentioned with PS VITA or they will get left behind

The definition of a video games console hasn't changed and it doesn't need to change. Until proven otherwise in the marketplace, Sony's statement is meaningless.

consoles haven't but handheld has

Handhelds are just small consoles. If they try to become more like smartphones, that is how they will lose all relevance to smartphones. Even if it isn't a growth market, it is one that can be sustained, but only if Sony and Nintendo continue to realize that their relevance has little to do with smartphones one way or another

u are kinda right but we have to take in consideration how matters to the current generation and the consumer.people wants change.you have to look at that.

atleast the basic things will have to remain.

 

enjoyment is also based on what is the poular and it thing as definition of excitment changes which you have to provide
