No. Tomb Raider is not PS1s mascot. You guys don't understand that a mascot is not the company's best franchise. Some people say that Link is better than Mario, yet nobody says that Link is Nintendo's mascot. Crash Bandicoot is PS1 mascot. For sure. PS2 doesn't have a mascot. It's not Jak, or Crash, or Sgt Nathan, who only exists in the PS3, and is ugly as sin. There is no replay value in Jak and Ratchet's games. If there was, you would see many speed runs in both games. I you go on Youtube, you will see that there are no speed rungs for any of the Jak games, and maybe one or two for the Ratchet games. That's not saying that they are bad games, but there's no replay value to them, and they are temendously easy to beat. Even Mario 64 was harder than them. But in Crash Bandicoot, there is tons of replay value. Especially in Crash Bandicoot Warped, where you eagerly want to play the same level again, to try to beat your time record. PS: Crash Team Racing is the second, or third greatest kart racing game in the world, next to Super Mario Kart, and Mario Kart DS, or just Mario Kart DS. Well, at least that's what all of the reviews say. If Naughty Dog kept Crash in the PS2 era, he would have beaten Sonic by now, but barely miss Mario. Barely. Each of his games on the PS1 were better than the next. Unlike the Jak games where each game was a little worse, ending at Jak X, which got reviews in the 70%s, compared to Crash Team Racing, which got reviews of around 91%. If the trend continued, Crash may be up to 96% on the PS2. Instead, Naughty Dog made another great franchise, but had to start from scratch. Could you imagine if Nintendo sold Mario to third party developers, and made a new mascot named Billy the Bobcat, who had rosy red cheeks, a purple hat that said Nintendo on it, and blue shorts?
