In the end dual screen gaming in general was pioneered by Nintendo. Before PSP launched and before PS3. Also the use of gyroscopic's and other things in the controller being fused with the action on the main screen is something no game console manufacturer has done before. Never in the past could you play an FPS and look around the room on a controller. Or an on rails game where your TV shows oncoming hostiles and you can look around in a 360 degree angle to shoot targets. Your statements are more delusional than anything I've ever posted! LOL Sony added an existing invention that Nintendo pioneered to their handheld? Their had been analog sticks in gaming for nearly a decade before Sony added the feature to PSP. I'd hardly say that was an innovation. As for the touch screen well the DS was the first game console to feature a touch screen with its stylus. However stylus's have been used in the computer industry for again like half a decade prior to DS. As for the touch screen yah its been around for along time, your point I bet you couldn't even name the earlier tablets that used both voice recognition and touch with a stylus or finger. I'm pretty sure if you tried you'd either have to do some research or it would be a fanboyish remark based in ignorance. Nobody is saying Nintendo was original in the development of the WiiU hardware, not much new was announced. But its how the hardware is used that is innovative. Using the Vita to control PS3 games would be stealing the control scheme that Nintendo is pioneering. You say the idea has been around a few months well guess what Nintendo has been developing this technology for years so don't start that crap. Your right on one part though. Nobody is going to win a debate on the grounds that Nintendo is copying Sony or innovated less or was less important to the industry. Not because I'm a die hard fan but because its a complete fallacy! |
Again, how? You can controll PS3 games like Lair using the PSP. And that is 4 years from now. So how could Sony be stealing this, when they not only had the idea but put it to work 4 years before wiiU was even announced? Also, DS wasnt a first hadheld with the touchscreen, and there was no handheld with an analog stick before PSP
