Some of the most anticipated and highest rated games of all time were released on Nintendo systems which were very affordable to the general public and it still didn't change anything. A large portion of current hardware sales are because of those "Big BRAND" exclusive games you always talk about, that have a solid appeal with the 20% of gamers who are willing to spend more than $200 on a gaming machine, but this won't change anything because the PS3 will continue to be too expensive and lack content for 80% of gamers.
