Hell no, I think Bioshock is over-rated. IMO it's the worst franchise on this list left. The only reason it's so high up is because archbrix has only voted + for Bioshock, and he has among the most votes here.

What can I say?  Bioshock (the original) is my favorite game this gen and what I've seen of Infinite bodes well for the franchise being my favorite as well, IMHO.  Yes, I've only voted + for it but I'm not the only person voting for it either, so it's safe to say that many would disagree with you that it's overrated, just as many would disagree with me that Fallout is overrated.

And FYI, I happen to like all the franchises that are left right now just fine.  I've voted Mass Effect down several times because it had a lot of points, but not because I think it's a bad game or franchise.

To each their own. I never like Bioshock, and because I noticed that you and others liked it, I avoided thumbing it down. As it stands now the only game on the list I enjoyed less then Bioshock is Street Fighter, but that will go soon on it's own. So I'm sorry, but I'll be thumbing Bioshock down almost exclusivly until it dies (that is unless Red Dead gets too popular). I'll up other games then Mass Effect, but I think it's about time Mass Effect re-established it's lead.

MARCUSDJACKSON: Halo has a bigger fanbase then Gears of War, that's why it won. Also many people who don't own a 360 probably only played Halo, or only got into Halo. Gears has a steeper learning curve.
