I stopped playing TP for a while (I got "addicted" to other games :p) but finally I could play it for a few minutes yesterday and got the Master Sword. The puzzle to get it (the one with the stone statues) was fun and I don't really know how I resolved it lol.

I found one of those stones you have to howl and I don't really remember if it's the first time I did it correctly. It appeared a cool cinema with the wolf and a castle. It only appears once in the game? I suppose I never got it correctly, I thought there would be some point that someone would teach me the song or something like that.

Oh and another question. Is there a way to get out of the sacred forest where the Master Sword is found? I couldn't find any exit so I had to teleport.

There are several of these stones and they make a golden wolf appear somewhere in Hyrule who then teaches you a new sword technique if you meet up with him.

There's a way out of the sacred forest, but there's not much of a point to it, because warping is more convenient anyway. It's possible that the first time you are in the forest the way to get out is blocked in some way though in order to force the player to use the new warp mechanic.

thanks!, yeah as I thought, I remember finding some of those stones but never could play them correctly. I thought it would be like in Ocarina and someone would teach me the songs. Oh well... I'll have to look them again.

If you find a another stone, then sit down in front of it to howl, but don't press anything and it plays the song for you in ghostly notes and shows you on the scale when to start each different note (though there are only 3 notes). If you leave it without pressing anything it will keep repeating the tune for you as well, which is useful as some of the longer ones are hard to get right by memory.

Also when you first play the tune the trail left by your notes shows you if you are getting it right.
