But that wouldnt happen because it is a blackhole it would also happen if a Star passes through the oort cloud. To the minimum mass of the black holes. I know they dont develop from small Stars like the sun. You think people now how much mass you need so a star collapses under its own gravity when the fusion stops ? I havent written those posts for a physicist but posted them in a game forum. Black holes are no reason for fear they are no bigger threat to us then stars in general. |

Now you're going too far to my taste! A white hole means nothing can go in, but things can go out. Also, some suggest the matter is transported to another universe or something like that. Crazy stuff indeed.

My beliefs are certainly different to this, but the scientific view of consciousness is that it is simply a function of the brain. Arising from the complicated nature of our neural interactions. This 'emergence' of consciousness would therefore not be possible with a squashed brain 
I am not a fan of the above theory at all. Then again, what I believe isn't really important in the context of this thread. Let's just say that scientists have no f%&$ing clue how consciousness works. This is one of my favourite topics, and it deserves its own thread perhaps.

Yip. Not too hard to calculate. Its also just speculation of course, but the arguments seem reasonable. Now if someone actually had a working Nuclear Theory then we would be more certain. As it stands, there is no Nuclear Theory, which means the atomic forces (strong especially) are not understood at all, which means that it's merely an educated guess at what mass is required to overcome all these forces... The general Relativity part of the problem is a little more tricky and I have yet to master Einstein's field equations tbh.
