Not at all. Though I would say fanboys are usually weeded out easier on gaf, thanks to a combination of factors like the first strike rule and gaf's harsher attitude towards certain types of actions.
Some of the topics of their Member Etiquette section sum it up nicely:
Don't make garbage threads
Be polite, please
Don't do annoying things
Don't derail threads (though this is often ignored so long as the derailment is funny)
Gaf just puts up with less bullshit, while not being as strict when it comes to specific acts of trolling or flaming.
Gaf's model lends itself to abuse, but it works well when you have the right crew in charge, which is the case right now. In fact, one of their current moderators is one of my favorites from VGChartz's early days.
