I don't understand what sane person is going to buy this.

This can't be used for computer as a 3D monitor which is the only area where a small size like that is acceptable. For consoles, people strapped for cash that want to experience 3D can save up another 200-300 and buy a 720p 50 inch samsung or LG 3D TV.

Also there a few 24 inch 3D monitors which are coming out for the same price that are compatible with PS3 and Nvidia PC and completely destroy this monitor in terms of specs. 4ms GTG response time is going to be ghosting headache.

Seems you don't quite understand it's purpose. Most people probably wouldn't try to use it as a monitor, let alone buy it for a big living space and then complain about size.

Also, it doesn't matter what "other" monitor out there has better specs than this, this display has specs no other device has (Sony patented). Therefore, that's pretty insignificant.

specs don't matter because it's made by Sony? Say what?

The Display does things other monitors don't, the 2-screen is, apparently, Sony patented. It is tailored to gaming specifically, which has not been done before.

Either way, I'm not sure where you drew your conclusion from, as I obviously didn't say that.

Oh please...the monitors "special feature" has been done before and much better.

I can do it on my Samsung LED DLP using this adapter and 2 xbox 360s or PS3s consoles. - http://www.reald.com/content/pod-dual-input.aspx. Sure its expensive, but its done properly with up to 1080p resolution per eye and no ghosting. Everyone that has seen this Sony monitor says ghosting is terrible when in 2 screen mode. Also, Texas Instruments had this ready to go for the masses but didnt release it sadly.

If you do buy a 50 inch 720p 3D TV($700 bucks last time I checked), the screen size in each split screen is actually larger than 1 single 23.5 inch screen. Local multiplayer on 24 inch screens is all the rage these days anyways(sarcasm).

Some people here are completely ignorant as to what a product offers for the price point and pretend that anything Sony touches is gold.

People - if you want a 3D monitor of this size and are looking to spend 500 bucks, buy this instead. - http://www.tomshardware.com/news/3D-Vision-PlayStation-3-Phil-Eisler-GeForce-V3D245,13155.html

It supports everything 3D...all PC 3D drivers, 360, PS3, blurays, 3D cable...and makes that Sony monitor look like a 2008 product spec wise.
