Considering Vanquish is a niche genre (Japanese shooter), made by a small developer, and played by few. It did pretty damn well making it to 22nd. Judging from polls it will only fall just behind Dead Space/Elder Scrolls.
Note: You two should make a truce or something, otherwise both your favorite IP's will perish.
