No but if your PS3 OS is in another language then english you will have japanese trophy though. This apply to the european version too. Atlus are kind of strange sometime, my system is in french, so they install japanese trophy pack on my american english game. I dont mind but I know people who were really frustrated. They had to back up all their save game, delete their main account, then retrieve the account, put system to english, copy save game and sync their trophy, then re-install the game lol. If not the game trophy would always remain in japanese.

That's weird. Though I'm Spanish my system is in English, so no problem. I wouldn't mind having the trophies in Japanese either, as long as they add up. My gf could translate it for me if I wanted to know what I got/need to get. Thank you for the advice though.

Actually, you may be able to get the throphies twice by just changing the language. That's odd.

I dont think you can earn them twice though, it just change the language in which they display. Its funny though, atlus said they werent going to patch. If you google catherine japanese trophy theres a lot of people complaining on different boards. It happened to people with spanish on their system as well ; ).
