Yup, exactly like how motion controls on the Wii were a "pointless feature."

I picked up the Conduit from my shelf after a year without touching it, and immediately picked up the Gamecube controller then was like 'oh'. I had to search all my drawers for a Wiimote; I realised I'd only been playing Virtual Console, Mario Kart and Smash Bros. for a year and hence only had GC controllers attached.

I use my Wii as a Gamecube.
