Maybe you didn't notice but GT5 just re-entered several of the PAL charts this week. It's likely to sell over 40k this week. GT games are known for their amazing legs. And sales next year are probably going to be well over 1 million. Let's do a simple comparisson, shall we? Uncharted 2 in 2010, it's first full year on the market, sold 1.62 million. In the final 23 weeks of the year it sold 820k. Or in other words just about half of its sales for the year. In the first 29 weeks of this year GT5 has sold 1.1 million and GT5 is likely to have even better legs than U2. And in its second year U2 should top out at about 900k-1 million. And of course this doesn't even account for any adjustments we're likely to see once Polyphony update their shipment page.
