| RolStoppable said: New Super Mario Bros. Wii. It's predecessors stood the test of time, so this game should as well. Easily. Gran Turismo 5 is the top pick for games that will fail. Games that make realism their biggest selling point often end up aging terribly. One only has to look back at Gran Turismo 1 and 2. Chances are that 20 years from now Gran Turismo 5 will be looked at as being as primitive as the PS1 games are today. |
Except that GT will still be around just as Mario, maybe GT7 by then! We'll still be driving on trial mountain in 2031.
New Super Mario Bros. Wii will look just as primitive in 20 years as the original NES Mario does now. Although still 10 times more charming then GT1, both, in their original form, are a horrible mess on a 55 inch HD screen. Actually both are quite similar, gameplay hasn't changed much for either.
Valkyria chronicles maybe. But I thought the same thing of beyond good and evil until I played the HD demo. It didn't age as well as it did in my mind. Braid stands a better chance, the gameplay is pretty unique and doesn't rely on the graphics.
I'm hoping that pixeljunk eden stands the test of time, one of my favorite original games this gen.
