The clostest to fps game from first party is Metroid Prime. AFAIK, Nintendo just isn't into fps or something like that.
Is Nintendo fully at fault for not having great 3rd parties games?
Mini games are fine, they carter to different audiences. I am not into mini games neither but that doesn't mean mini games shouldn't exist.
