Exactly. This was a FUD move by Nintendo. Their system wasn't performing very well and the PSV is 3-4 months away from release. I think Nintendo didn't believe the 3DS had a chance against the PSV with the same price point. And while I agree with that stance, I still think their price cut was premature. They should have at least waited out the holiday and cut near the beginning of the year if they needed to. They could have even pushed the cut as a celebration of its 1st full year on market. At least then it would seem legit and not be seen as desperation by the gaming public and investors.
