I'm a core nintendo fan (have been since the late 80s/early 90s) ,already own a 3ds, bought it day one etc and have played the majority of the games on offer...still there's 4 or 5 on offer I'm pretty excited about. Plus they haven't mentioned 'em all yet. I know people who are considering buying one before the pricecut just to get these games, so obviously some of us are happy with the offer.
What else could they do? It's better than a kick in the ass.
Realistically they'd have to expect backlash from some angle as it's impossible to satisfy everybody all the time.
