That being the case, Spiderman, The Hobbit, and Ice Age will all be massive as well. Hell, with all of the amazing movies coming out next year, we may even be surprised that certain movies don't make as much as the past one because people have to pick between them.

Edit: Also you have to remember, I think The Dark Knight sales may have been slightly "inflated" due to the Ledger death (i.e. people going to see if because it was his last movie, and it was in the news so much because of this)

Ledger's death did wonders for him at the Oscars too (and other awards shows too). It's sad that you gotta die to get attention...

Ledger didn't get an Oscar because he died...damn it man,have you seen TDK and how he plays the Joker?it's amazing.His death had nothing to do with his brilliant performance.
