The adjustments had to be made. The Wii sales numbers exceeded the Wii shipment numbers by 70k in the pre-adjusted figures @ 30th June, 2011. PS3 qand 360 have shipped roughly the same amount of systems over the last 12 months between 1 July, 2010 to 30th June, 2011
There needs to be some inventory in warehouse, transit or on store shelves.
Hardware sales numbers are in line with shipment numbers and require few adjustments. Software numbers require frequent adjustments.
