Every US retailer has a 30 day price protection deal. If the price of the item you bought goes down within 30 days, you can come back to the store and get a refund of the difference.

Meaning, you buy the 3DS now for $250. On August 12th you go back and get a $100 refund.... plus since you bought it and used it before the price cut, you still get the 20 free games.

And this is guaranteed to work?  Can the store claim that this price cut doesn't count or something? I'm sure a lot of people might take advanatage of this....I'm still weighing though lol.

Actually the mass consumer won't enen know the price cut is coming.

Any US company has this guarantee and they can't back out of it.

Only way they can beat it, is to lower their price early. This may be why Canadian stores are already lower.

Would it be easier to get one from somewhere, return it for in store credit and just buy it again after the cut?
