LOL fail at hating on a game. Ummm do you have no idea of GT5'S legs. And currently it's tracking ahead of GTA 4 and GT4 which are at 8 + million right now. If you want to hate at least do it right. |
I'm not actually sure who you're saying is hating on the game. If it's Lyrikalstylez's, I'd agree that his predictions and general demeanour towards GT5 has been less than positive, and his 4-6 million prediction has been shown to be pretty poor. If you're calling me a hater, I'm letting you know you're sorely mistaken. GT5 is one of my favourite games of the generation so far. I'm well aware of the legs of GT5. I never said it would stop selling. I simply tried to get an understanding of what you meant by "mass bundling". As I explained, if the hardware (lets say $300 for simplicity) and the game ($50, for simplicity) are bundled for $350, I don't see it having much/any effect, seeing as people who don't want the game wouldn't pay full price for it effectively.
Also, mass bundling of the game for no added cost with hardware wouldn't be something to brag about when it comes to sales figures (not that sales figures are something that really have a need to be bragged about).
Really, it's irrelevant whether or not GT5 outsells Reach, apart from fanboy arguments. GT5 has already outsold...99% of released PS3 games? Halo Reach has done similar on the Xbox 360. They are the most popular exclusive franchises on their respective consoles. They are both huge revenue (and profit) generators for their developers/publishers. They are both loved by millions of gamers around the world (largely with divergent tastes). They are both likely to keep on selling for a long time, bundled or not. Whichever game ends up with more sales isn't going to be remembered for how it sold, but how enjoyable it was. And to a lot of people, each game is extremely enjoyable.
