Yeah, I should have been more accurate when I said that. In an earlier post I mentioned cannibalization, which is a legitimate concern IMO. When I mentioned shovelware, I was referring to the fear that the consumer might see two more similar looking "family games" on the shelf this christmas, in addition to the already available many crappy ones, and just lump them all together.

Namco may or may not have the ability/will-power to make Go Vacation stand out from the crowd, but with XSEED I am less certain. Even if they do have a good marketing plan for this game, having two similar games BOTH stand out is far more difficult.

I have similar concerns regarding Mario Party and Itadaki Street. The latter won't sell poorly, but might "fail" by Nintendo standards.
