i still lol at the people who think the 10 year plan means that console and only that console for those 10 years. Just face the simple fact that the 10 year plan means 10 years of support, how hard is that. Many companies for a wide variety of products support there previous product despite there new and better successor product for some times many many years later. In gaming Examples: Nintendo Entertainment System was supported in Japan to something like 2003, PS1 was supported to like 2005-6 something like that, and the PS2 is still going 11 years later despite the PS3 was released 5 years ago. Also to answer Why mention the 10 year plan, its a show of investment, the PS3 was a large investment for the consumer, sony was saying that dont worry your machine will be supported for 10 years which differently makes up the initial investment.
