Allabout here, asking you to tell me how soon you can evolve a Pokemon through friendship, without the benefit of supplements, wings, or a Soothe Bell. I would also like you to tell me how you pulled it off.
I'll start: I evolved my Woobat (Bruce) into Swoobat before I even encountered any of those things with Bruce in my party at level 21. I was able to do this because I had such a hard time with Elesa of Nimbasa that I had to battle her several times before I realized that my party was at an insufficient level. As a result, I decided to backtrack to Desert Resort to get some remedial training in. Now, before any of this happened, I'd gotten Bruce a massage in Castelia City. I just want to make sure you are aware of all possible factors in Bruce's evolution. Anyway, I fought a couple of trainers in Desert Resort, and, when Bruce hit level 21, after the battle I was treated to Bruce's evolution into Swoobat. I cleaned up at the Resort, chose the Cover Fossil, returned to Nimbasa, and proceeded to beat the holy hell out of Elesa in one last Trainer battle. Bruce would prove to be essential... against Clay in Driftveil City. Did you actually think I would send a Flying-type against an Electric-type if I had any other alternative?
