voted for both but sides smartphones as the vast majority of my gaming time. my phone is always with me, i couldn't live without it with phone, text, maps/gps, internet, email, music. games are just the icing on the cake. since mostly i'm looking to kill just a few minutes of time (20 min daily train commute) it fits my needs perfectly without the hassle of also bringing a dedicated device and the cartridges (i have a ds not a psp). plus, my smartphone allows for online play, 3DSs wifi is laughable in terms of useability as wifi access is so limited and psVita has 3G but i'm guessing it will be laughably expensive monthly fees.
i have a ds and will get either a 3DS/psVita most likely just for those longer trips (3+ hour plane ride for instance) but it won't be getting nearly as much love as my iphone.
