Agreed, Nintendo needs to be given a harsh dose of reality in order for them to wake up and revert their strategy back to a mass market approach they took during the greater part of the DS and Wii's lifespan.I fear they are getting lost in their graphic whore/ hardware obsessed nature that plagued them during the N64 and Gamecube days, and they will get similar sales to those platforms if they keep following a similar strategy. On top of this, you have their stuborness in regards to Project Rainfall and snubbing the Wii owners by refusing the follow through on motion plus games for Wii. There is absolutely NO excuse for them to stop making Wii games when the console still has respectable sales, even IF you want to release your next console in a year. Nintendo needs another humbling similar to the one they recieved in the late 90s - early 2000s, and the one Sony recieved in 2005.
It's the same situation that I feel about one of my equally loved organizations, the Cubs. It's like, they've reached such a low that now I just root for them to lose so some things get shaken up, their GM and manager get fired, and bring in new people willing and able to actually win.
