Ok, I get what you're saying and do agree. I do admit that had Nintendo put out IPs that were similar to AC, Batman, etc, then yes I would of been satisfied and probably not bought a PS3. This is very true. Afterall there really only exists one company that I will always buy and that is Nintendo. The others I buy out of lack of a Nintendo game that fits that need.

Nintendo currently does not have first party IPs that fit AC and Batman's roles... however, I am glad I got to play them as well as Uncharted as they were all good games and I do hope WiiU gets these third parties along with thier fantastic first party so I simply have more choice for my definite purchase.

You can hope for that to happen, but the only real thing that the Wii U will have over the Gamecube is that development costs have risen dramatically since the sixth generation, so third parties might not withdraw support due to sheer necessity of putting their games on as many platforms as possible.

The Wii U is a big gamble on Nintendo's part, because they are willing to sacrifice the entire Wii audience for some minor gains (the Wii audience does not need a new console to realize the games they want and after all, the Wii U will use exactly the same Wii Remote Pluses which basically means that people have to buy a new console solely because Nintendo feels like it). Nintendo could win, but the odds are against them. If they lose, then they will lose big time.
