Actually I can't stand most new bands and singers that with time fade away: very good and excellent musicians that stand the test of time are a minority and they don't increase more than global population, their ratio to it remains the same, whatever the marketing efforts made by the music industry. But while I don't like Spiderman more or less than I normally dislike movies with real actors based on comics and cartoons, I consider Transformers a worse offender, that series was born as cheap and 3rd choice, made with the sole purpose to sell toys and other merchandising. And better special FX just made it more polished, but not less shallow and bland (I often consider movies with real actors based on comics and cartoons shallow and bland, but at least in that case there is the original usually a lot better). It was bad almost 30 years ago, it still is.
