I always believed that people saying the 3DS and Vita were doomed due to the rising popularity of mobile platforms were overreacting, but thinking about it now see they have more of a point. For one thing, pretty sure it was back in 2007 that I bought my last non-Nintendo game for the DS and whenever I go into game stores, all the DS titles look like utter rubbish.
The Vita is currently an unknown quantity but the 3DS is really lighting things up.
