Well in Call of Duty, you notice perks in your very first game. When an ally uses radar, when someone calls in a napalm strike etc. Also when you run around you can pick up very different guns. In Killzone 3, you only have weapon unlocks, and some abilities. I don't believe there is anything cosmetic, but it's been about a month since I played. It's not the same thing, except for the cloak upgrade, I think you can basically play the game the same with or without them.

Halo Reach, there are no weapon upgrades, but cosmetic upgrades play a huge role into customizability. Every spartan looks unique. Also game modes are highly customizable. You can build your own maps, pick which weapons to start with, pick abilities, adjust health and damage settings etc. It's different, and I feel more integrated, but that's my opinion. It sells better due to hype, overall polish (co-op setup in KZ3 is just garbage, don't argue with that), and it established itself first.

P.S. Don't hate me because I said half of Killzones maps are unbalanced. Call of Duty has just as many killing points. Isn't there a famous video of a guy getting a KD score of 500 to 10? That's 10, 50 kill streaks average! Most games have some unbalance, unless the maps are completly uniform (like in Gears). The vote specifically asked which do I like better Killzone 3 or L4D2, and I said L4D2 mainly because of a better co-op experience. I only specifically point out KZ3 maps being unbalanced because the poll asked why. The online multiplayer, to me, isn't as polished as it could have been. L4D2 was better, but at the same time multiplayer was often 1 sided, and the game is really short. I did say it was a close call.

People are far too defensive about PS3 exclusives. Let it rest, people have different opinions then you.

this has nothing to do with you like another game more, and everything about you being wrong.

it is litterally impossible to play killzone without noticing the progress bar, after every single go it shows it to you, it shows you how much of a class you have unlocked. it shows you what powers you have. it tells you how many credits you have to buy the abilities. good luck getting anywhere in the game ignoring these things

Everything about me being wrong?

You finish a match, get experience, rank up. Never said you don't notice that part, but I didn't notice that you could buy stuff for a while. Even then what can you buy that's so special? The only thing I can even remember other then weapon upgrades is the ability to cloak for marksmen. Who cares about rank, it's just a number, I was refering to unlockables in that old debate, and Killzone 3 has a lot less then Call of Duty.

Please, don't bring up an old debate you weren't even part of, and stop being so damn rude.
