The fact is that it's difficult to define an "hardcore" thing, this gen the term has been used to define, in a superior way, what was not a collection of mini-games or such. CoD or Halo are casual games since they appeal to people who litterally know nothing of videogames...seriously, how could someone be defined hardcore if he doesn't even know the number of this gen?
I'm saying this because many of the games in the OP could be defined casual...anyway these are not bad numbers at all, it's just the fact that Nintendo always have and always will sell better than its third parties supporters, the loyal fanbase buys a Nintendo console firstly for Nintendo games, this is a great advantage since they'll always count on 20-30m loyal buyers, while the other software houses won't. With a bit of effert and a good marketing games like MH3 or DQ IX (typical japanese games) were able to sell well even in the west.
