It made Pikmin 2 lame. Well, this and the randomly generated caves. On the surface you had to do some cool teamwork, but in the underground you only had to deal with hazards and no real puzzles. Not to mention that some caves didn't make any sense at all with toys being scattered around (like a kids room) or full daylight. |
Yeah, the teamwork underground was dissapointing, but the caves were cool, even if overworld was far better, also, daylight in caves was fantasy, you didn't expect it to be fully realistic, did you?
As for toys, well, apart from fantasy, I saw it in the deep direction that most of the stuff that used to be earth was burried underground somehow, trash piles, bugs, simple holes, you can see see it the way you want it. And then there was the trash that was scattered in the world, which, in placement, actually makes sense.
And if you complain about difficulty, Pikmin 1 was hard, but still manageable in less than 20 days, so it's not like the time limit made me in a huge rush or anything, actaully, if you want rush, you might remember the Submerged Castle, that was nuts.
