Seriously though... This was a new genre that was created.  There weren't too many fitness games before this that I can remember.  The only one I can remember would be the world track with the power pad back during the NES era.  Can't blame them for making a new genre (just because you don't like) be successful.

 

R U serious? What about the Yoga and Fitness simulators that the PS2/Xbox  had? If you have no video game culture dont bash!

My video game culture is invested in Nintendo.  Sorry, I forgot about Yoga and Fitness from PS2/xbox.....  You know what... NES Power Pad trumps all considering it came out during the 8-bit era.   I bet every fitness game you can cite for PS2 and Xbox didn't come close to Wii Fit sales even combined.  Wii Fit might not have been first but they sure as hell made it mainstream.  You can try and lecture me on video game culture but the fact is I started during the Atari 2600 era.  Go ahead and take away my "hardcore" gamer badge since I forgot/didn't know about some "fitness" game that barely sold shit on PS2/Xbox.
