I'm talking about sales in the last months and there's no way MS will provide enough data to tell Kinect costs from the others (they usually give the whole division figures or little more, not the costs for the single products). But last months, like they did before, around Easter (and obviously around Xmas, but back then the sales were a lot better), they broadcasted Kinect ads once or more a day, several days a week for at least two weeks, on the biggest TV networks in Europe, we're talking about millions Euros in ads, to sell ~105k in EMEAA during the last 8 weeks (*). Do your maths.
(*) Edit: and ~75k during the last 6 weeks, we can check in two weeks the 8 weeks after the ads run started, but considering the slow period it will be less than 105k. Even adding 2 or 3 more weeks in August, until, most probably, the next run of ads for the return from Summer holidays will start, we'll still get little more than 110-120k.
