I didn't really know how to phrase the title, but anyway, my question is this:

With games like Demon's Souls and Journey doing a sort of multiplayer that is really a part of the singleplayer (or maybe it's more accurate to say that the singleplayer and the multiplayer modes are one and the same), where the only control you have is that you can go offline to stop people from joining, do we need a term to seperate this kind of online play from "normal" multiplayer and cooperative play?

I'm hoping we will see more games do this kind of multiplayer, so I think it would clear up a lot of confusion with a good term for it.
