It's being developed in Japan, it's only been in development for three years, it's a first party title and it's being developed by an extremely small team of 30 or more developers, the chances of profit are far higher than they were for games like Killzone 2, Heavy Rain and L.A. Noire and yet they all pulled through in the end. The game isn't going to cost $30 million to make and judging by the amount of hype and anticipation it's built over the years, then it may come along and sell 1.5 million copies, which would easily make them a profit.
The game just has to be amazing, if it comes out and everyone loves it, then it's going to succeed just based on word of mouth and critical acclaim (Uncharted 2, Mass Effect, Demons Soul's, Bioshock, Little Big Planet).
Bet with Conegamer and AussieGecko that the PS3 will have more exclusives in 2011 than the Wii or 360... or something.
