Nintendo have made quite a few new IPs this generation that don't include Mario, I'm not sure what you're on about.  These are just off the top of my head:

Soma Bringer

Wii ...

Style Boutique/Style Savvy

Fossil Fighters

Brain Training/Brain Age

Big Brain Academy

Nintendogs

Electroplankton

English Training

Jam with the Band/Daigasso

Before you the next time you make wild statements, you should probably read up on what Nintendo have actually done this generation.
