I know. I know.  I even feel creepy when I do it.  But whhen that LED lights up and some rendom Mii meets mine, it's all worth it.

Ironic, though.  For all of their efforts to keep kids safe (Friend Codes, No messages, voice chat, etc), they just gave strange guys a reason to walk up to little kids.
